Having grown up in Melbourne, Kylie moved to London in 1999. Kylie had always suffered with headaches and migraines, for which GPs enthusiastically prescribed strong painkillers. When a friend in London suggested she try acupuncture, she did so, and was amazed with the results- not only did the acupuncture sort the headaches and migraines but also balanced her whole system holistically. Kylie knew she needed to heal others with this incredible discipline that had provided such benefits for her. She embarked on a Bachelor of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and upon completing her degree with honours in 2006, established her own practice, with clinics in London’s City and at a prestigious private members’ health spa in Chelsea. Additionally, Kylie volunteered at a London community acupuncture clinic specifically for HIV patients.
When Kylie left the UK after 12 years, she travelled and volunteered in India for a year, mainly volunteering at the office of the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, northern India, before relocating to Melbourne. Seeking warmer climes and a desire to be fully immersed in nature, Kylie and her partner moved to a farm in the Nambucca Valley in April 2018. Kylie has been volunteering at the Community Acupuncture and Shiatsu clinic in Bellingen since May 2018, and we are now most fortunate to have Kylie providing traditional Chinese acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy and lymphatic drainage massage on NSW's mid north coast.
Friendly, calm and caring, with a gentle and thorough approach, Kylie has a particular interest in treating stress and stress-related conditions, and all aspects of women’s health, having recently completed a course on Better IVF Outcomes with Chinese Medicine. She is extremely passionate about her work and is excited about providing such an essential and important healing service to people in this beautiful area which she is happy to now call home.
